Cha-Cha-Cha has its origins in religious ritual dances of West Africa and Cuban slow dances. Formed from the rumba and mambo, dance cha-cha-cha with an exciting, syncopated rhythm quickly became popular because of its simplicity and originality.

Cha-cha-cha – a relatively new dance at the event after it began to execute the rest of Latin dances. For the international performance of the cha-cha-cha was standardized by the famous English teacher of ballroom dancing Pierre Lavelle (Pierre Lavelle). During his visit to Cuba in 1952, Pierre Lavelle saw the original version of dancing rumba with additional steps, the relevant additional blow to the music when the rhythm of the blows given by castanets, drums, accented with three “clatter”. Returning to England, he began to teach this option as a separate new dance, called the cha-cha-cha. Where does the name is unknown, but presumably, the dance got its name thanks to a specific instrument maraca and special reiterates the basic rhythm.
